What clients notice

“The fieldwork took longer than we hoped because our subsidiary records were incomplete, and they said so early rather than papering over it. Once we produced the missing bank reconciliations, the final opinion arrived on the date they revised with us.”

We publish longer client stories on our reviews page — including where fieldwork took longer than hoped because records were incomplete. Clear constraints matter as much as praise.

How we work

From scoping call to report date

Every statutory engagement follows the same spine: engagement letter, risk planning, fieldwork, findings, and signed report. See the full sequence on our audit process page.

Fees

Quoted after we know your sites

Fixed fees for most statutory audits; daily rates for inventory observation. We do not publish a single price that pretends every ledger is the same.

Common questions

Before you enquire

How long does a statutory financial audit usually take?

For a mid-sized Yamaguchi trading or manufacturing company with clean prior-year files, fieldwork typically runs two to four weeks on site, followed by one to two weeks of report drafting. First-year engagements and multi-entity groups take longer.

Do you audit companies outside Yamaguchi Prefecture?

Yes. Our office is in 光子区, and we regularly travel for inventory observations and management interviews across western Honshu. Remote document review is available for interim testing when ledgers and bank confirmations can be shared securely.

What do we need to prepare before your first visit?

A trial balance, general ledger export, bank statements for the year, fixed-asset register, inventory listings, and prior auditor working papers if you are changing firms. We send a detailed request list after the engagement letter is signed.

Are your fees fixed or hourly?

Most statutory audits are quoted as a fixed engagement fee based on entity size, number of locations, and complexity of revenue recognition. Narrow reviews and single-site inventory observations may be billed at a daily rate.

Can you help if we are not ready for a full audit opinion?

Our compliance readiness review is designed for that situation. We test selected cycles, document gaps, and leave you with a remediation list — without issuing an audit opinion.
